Programme Overview

The BA (Hons) Visual Communication awarded by University for the Creative Arts UK is a practice-led undergraduate degree that explores how ideas, information, and narratives arecommunicated through visual language across print and digital media. The course develops creative, conceptual, and technical skills in areas such as graphic design, branding, typography,image-making, layout, and visual storytelling, while encouraging critical thinking and experimentation.Through studio-based projects, research, and professional practice, students learn to respond effectively to creative briefs, understand audiences and contexts, and produce visually engaging, purposeful design solutions. Graduates of the programme develop a strong professional portfolio and leave with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and creatively, apply strategic and conceptual thinking to real-world design challenges, use industry-standard tools and processes, present and justify design decisions with confidence, and work independently or collaboratively within contemporary creative industries.

Entry Criteria

Pakistan

  • Associate Degree from a recognised Pakistani university with 55% or GPA 2.5
  • Transcript showing successful completion of 2–3 years of a Bachelor's degree with 55% or GPA 2.5

Foundation (Pakistan)

  • HSSC / Intermediate with 60% or 3/5 (12 years of completed school study)

India

  • Indian HSC / Standard XII with 60% or higher (CBSE, CISCE & all boards)
  • Completion of Year 1 of a Bachelor's degree from a recognised Indian university

Foundation (India)

  • Indian HSC / Standard XII with 50% or higher

Philippines

  • Associate Degree from a recognised Philippine university with GPA 2.0/5.0 or GPA 3.0/4.0
  • Transcript showing completion of 2 years of a Bachelor's degree

Foundation (Philippines)

  • Philippine High School Diploma with 80% or higher
