BA (Hons) Business Management

The global creative economy is one of the world’s fastest-growing sectors, creating employment and income, promoting innovation, and contributing to societies’ wellbeing. In 2020, the global cultural and creative industries provided 6.2% of all employment, generating nearly 50 million jobs worldwide, and employed more young people (15–29-year-olds) than other sectors (United Nations, 2022).

The BA Business and Management course is designed to prepare you for a range of careers in the global creative industries. You will develop business, strategic, entrepreneurial, and analytical skills, to manage and lead, while, by gaining financial literacy, data analytic skills and insight into decision-making processes, you’ll be able to solve problems and make informed decisions in the business of the global creative industries. Furthermore, you will establish critical insight into creative organisations, their cultures, structures and management, and into the wider economic environments and social contexts, specific to the global creative industries.

By the end of your Business and Management degree, you will be able to demonstrate skills and attributes for future employment, including communication, team building, leadership, and the ability to motivate others, as well as the ability to nurture equality, diversity, and inclusion – central to all work in the global creative industries.
